We’re betting there won’t be too many hands up in the air at the moment. It’s not surprising really – few of us want to spend our spare time cleaning the bathroom, kitchen, living room, bedrooms… and so on. There are always plenty of other far more thrilling things to be doing, aren’t there?

The problem is it’s nice to keep our homes in good condition and looking presentable at all times. No one would expect your home to look like a show home but you would want it to look good if someone dropped round unexpectedly. The best way to make sure this would be the case is to take the ‘little and often’ route – basically doing a little bit of housework on an almost daily basis to ensure you could get it all done.

Of course real life tends to get in the way of this kind of thing. You might end up with precious little time to do housework once you have been to work for the day, dealt with the kids and tackled any number of other things. Since few of us really enjoy the housework it tends to get pushed to the bottom of the list very quickly indeed!

One good solution that can get rid of all this hassle is to hire someone to come and do your housework for you. It’s up to you how often you want this to be. It could be once a week, twice a week or even every day if you like. A lot will depend on how big your property is and whether you live there alone or you have two or three kids running round causing havoc half the time. Everyone has different requirements so consider the options and think of the benefits of not having to tackle any housework at all.

It’s also nice to be able to arrange for someone to come in at a time that suits you. This could be at the weekend or during the week depending on when you work. You might also arrange for additional times, perhaps just before you host a party or a dinner with friends for example. The flexibility is just as good as the service itself.

So the next time you sit there feeling guilty that you haven’t done the housework, you’ll know what to do to change things won’t you?
