If you clean your own home you’ll realise how quickly it can become unkempt and grubby. But this doesn’t have to be the case. Many people in the UK only clean their homes once a week or even less, but if you do little and often you might not be giving your house a deep-down clean but you’ll be able to keep on top of things until you do.

Vacuuming

It can be a good idea to vacuum rooms at least every other day. This way the dust and debris is removed from the floor surface before it has a chance to rest on other surfaces or become a ‘permanent’ part of your carpet.

Dusting

If you leave a duster on a work surface you’ll be amazed how often you pick it up without thinking to just give a surface close-by a wipe over. If you are keen on topping up the amount of dusting you do it’s advisable to dust at least twice a week.

Tidying

Instead of leaving things strewn over surfaces, or even the floor in some cases, it can be a good idea to keep on top of the tidying. Even if your home isn’t sparklingly clean, a tidy home can hide some of your cleaning indiscretions.
